After your eligibility check has been reviewed, the next step is a Welcome Call - a free, no-obligation video call with a member of our clinical team. It is not a sales conversation. It is a genuine clinical discussion, designed to give you a clear picture before you make any decision about whether to go further.
Who you speak to
The Welcome Call is conducted by a qualified clinician - typically an oncologist or specialist nurse with experience in immunotherapy. The person you speak to will have reviewed your eligibility questionnaire before the call, so they come prepared with context about your situation. You do not need to repeat everything from scratch.
What the call covers
The Welcome Call typically covers four areas:
- Your eligibility assessment: The clinician will explain what your questionnaire results indicate about your suitability for pembrolizumab, and what additional information - if any - would be needed to confirm eligibility.
- Whether treatment could be an option: An honest clinical assessment of whether pembrolizumab at home appears to be appropriate for your situation, and if not, why - and what alternatives might be worth exploring.
- How the process works: If you are a potential candidate, the clinician will explain what the treatment journey looks like in practice - what each step involves, who is involved, and what the timeline typically looks like.
- The costs: A transparent explanation of what treatment costs and how it is structured, before any commitment is made. There are no hidden fees and no pressure to proceed.
Your questions
A significant part of the call is for your questions. Patients and families often come with concerns about side effects, what happens if something goes wrong at home, how the treatment interacts with existing medications, what monitoring is involved, and many others. There are no wrong questions, and the call is as long as it needs to be to address them properly.
What happens next
At the end of the call, you will have enough information to make a genuinely informed decision about whether to proceed. There is no follow-up pressure. If you decide you want to go ahead, the clinical team will guide the next steps: a more detailed medical assessment, confirmation of your treatment plan, and scheduling of your first visit. If you decide it is not right for you, that is entirely your decision and there is nothing further required from you.
Start with the eligibility check
The Welcome Call follows your eligibility check. It takes about three minutes to complete - and an oncologist reviews it within 24 hours before booking your call.
